Three Things I Like

Voilà a great new Photoshop Elements action to play around with, Matte Vintage Color by Coffee Shop Blog. I love the muted, flat look it gives to my photos. Find it for free here

A poem about unreserved and honest living that I stumbled upon in Garrison Keilor's Good Poems:

Wild Geese
by Mary Oliver

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
        love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination.
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.

And finally, something really, truly worthwhile to watch this weekend: Brené Brown's Ted Talk, The Power of Vulnerability which discusses worthiness, courage, shame, and uncertainty in relationships. Skip the first three minutes if you're the restless type, but be sure to watch the rest.
You might just have to read her book,  Daring Greatly

Off to the fabric store to find inspiration for a new dress! Have a relaxing Saturday.

Don't Ask Me How I Know It,
