Crimson & Gold

Although fashion reporters at Vogue and The Zoe Report try to tell us otherwise, I rediscovered today that it IS possible to look cute for the holidays without forking out hundreds of dollars for every party look. And while we all love a good splurge- and don't worry you indulgence lovers, I'll be doing a post soon on this season's splurge-worthy finds- with the next couple of weeks filled with fêtes, the need for festive looks has never been more pressing. These two versatile and trendy looks will take you from Christmas to New Years as well as the next Hervé Léger cocktail dress. The two best parts? Each look has at least five pieces that can be mixed and matched with your current possessions and each full outfit is between $40 and $60.

Shirt: Forever 21 $6.99
Shorts: H&M $10
Belt: H&M $10
Booties: Charlotte Russe $10 (2nd pair)
Tights: H&M $5
Ring: H&M $3

Shirt: Urban Outfitters $9.99
Skirt: H&M $20
Handbag: H&M $15
Tights: Charlotte Russe $7.99

To add a pop of color to each monochrome ensemble, paint your nails and lips in a fabulous duo of crimson or gold.

Believe me, you'll want to look back at all the fun and celebration come March.
Joyeux Noël!
